Sponsors

This site has come a long way since its beginnings. Initially, everything was hosted on the webspace my ISP offered to every dialup user. But that quickly became too small and exposed. In the first year of its existence, I've had to move the site around quite a bit, and even in the first year, I had already started using multiple locations to ensure as little downtime as possible. In late 2000, I was offered the first dedicated webspace with a shared T1 line. And we've come a long way since then. Over the years, I've used about a dozen different webspaces all over the globe. All of those were sponsored, mostly by private entities that wish to remain unnamed, and then there are a few where a corporate entity is involved as well. This page is dedicated to all the people who, over the years, have provided a home for the Doom9 site and forum in one way or another, and to the people who, often in the middle of the night, got up and fixed whatever had broken down. You may never even know they exist, but if it weren't for them, this site couldn't exist in the form it does today.

Today, the monthly traffic averages more than 800 GB for the site, and about 70 GB for the forum. That load is shared by servers on 3 different continents. Here are the people who make this possible:

Absolight is a Paris based company that provides dedicated hosting solutions, custom development and networking solutions. Absolight has been supporting this site since 2001, which makes it the longest standing Doom9 supporter.

There are more, but the remaining sponsors do not wish to be mentioned.
